Senior Content Writer
Shape the content strategy behind two fast-growing e-commerce brands!
Haypp Group
At Haypp Group, we’re driven by a higher purpose to address one of the world’s biggest public health challenges: how to put an end to smoking. Globally, there are still more than 1 billion active smokers, and every year around 8 million people die from largely preventable, smoking-related diseases. Our goal is to empower adult nicotine users to make less harmful choices and, in doing so, save lives. We do this by being the go-to online retailer for safer nicotine alternatives.
Haypp Group is one of the Nordic region’s leading e-commerce retailers when it comes to safer nicotine alternatives, with 17 digital storefronts and an established presence in 7 countries. Nicotine pouches were invented in Sweden, which is why our head office is based here, but the U.S. is by far our fastest-growing market. Through our dedicated U.S. sites, Nicokick and Northerner, we’ve served millions of customers, and that number continues to grow.
With around 280 team members across Europe and the U.S., we are continuing to scale our operations and strengthen our position as a category leader. At Haypp Group, you’ll experience an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment where ideas are welcomed from all levels and where you're valued for being you.
THE ROLE
As Haypp Group continues to grow in the U.S. market, we're looking for a Senior Content Writer to join our Customer Acquisition team. This role will play a key part in driving organic growth across Nicokick.com and Northerner.com through high-quality, search-focused content.
You will own the content strategy and editorial calendar, creating authoritative content that helps adult nicotine consumers make informed purchasing decisions while improving our organic visibility, rankings, and customer acquisition. Working closely with SEO, eCommerce, Compliance, CRM, and Marketing teams, you'll turn data and consumer insights into content that delivers measurable business impact.
Reporting to the VP of Customer Acquisition Marketing, you will help establish content as a key growth channel while ensuring all communication remains responsible, accurate, and compliant within a regulated industry. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Arlington, Virginia, with in-office collaboration Tuesday through Thursday.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Develop and execute the SEO content strategy across Nicokick.com and Northerner.com
• Own and maintain the editorial calendar, balancing new content creation with optimization of existing content
• Write, edit, and optimize educational articles, buying guides, category pages, brand pages, FAQs, and landing pages
• Conduct keyword research and identify content opportunities based on search behavior, customer needs, and business priorities
• Build content briefs and collaborate with stakeholders across SEO, eCommerce, Compliance, and Marketing
• Improve the performance of existing content through updates, optimization, and content consolidation initiatives
• Monitor rankings, traffic, engagement, and conversion performance to identify opportunities for growth
• Support broader SEO initiatives through content planning, internal linking, and topical authority development
• Ensure all content complies with applicable legal, regulatory, and company requirements
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of content standards, processes, and best practices
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• 5+ years of experience in content writing, editorial, content marketing, journalism, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience creating SEO-focused content that drives measurable organic growth
• Proven success improving keyword rankings, organic traffic, and business performance through content
• Strong understanding of keyword research, search intent, content optimization, internal linking, and on-page SEO
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills
• Ability to translate complex topics into engaging, customer-friendly content
• Experience managing editorial calendars and coordinating multiple content projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams
A BONUS IF YOU ALSO BRING
• Experience within eCommerce and customer acquisition-focused content
• Experience creating content in regulated industries
• Familiarity with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, or Semrush
• Experience leveraging AI and modern content technologies to improve efficiency and performance
YOU WILL PROBABLY THRIVE HERE IF YOU
• Are equally passionate about content, SEO, and business results
• Enjoy combining creativity with data-driven decision making
• Take ownership and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Have a strong attention to detail and care deeply about quality
